Hey good morning how are u my name is Glenroy Boatswain.Nice to meet u. Im from Grenada..
Hi Glenroy, I was just scouting around the wiki communuty and happen to come across your test posting. I am through this medium, offerinig a word of encouragement for your continued use and mastery of the fundamental skills required to broaden your wiki capacity. The workshop was great, lots of fun - do you agree?
Desmond.
Hello, Wayne!
This exercise is for tutorial 9 but I shall take this opportunity to report my progress. firat of all let me thank you for your encouraging remarks. You may notice that I am catching up rather late in the day and have tried to follow your suggestions partly. I hope to be abreast by tomorrow!!
Vijayshri
Hi Vijayshri,
You are not later than myself (i have late written all over my middle name). I am certeinly
enjoying this workshop more profoundly than i ever thought.
i dont even think i have enjoyed any other before in my life. Thank you all.
Victor
I am at a similar late point in the workshop, writing this on day 10 and running about 2 days behind, working through day 8 content today, but I have an overwhelming feeling this was a good choice to undertake this workshop. I have 3 teaching or quasi-teaching jobs and am taking a series of online courses, and I feel a new focus and skill about how to manage these experiences and responsibilities with the web and OER that includes but goes beyond the project I am "officially" doing for the workshop. I even have an idea for a political wiki project aside from my educational endeavors and have researched where political wikis might be hosted.
Good evening from the Seychelles. This is a rather late submission. It's good to be part of this project.
Hi Wayne!
I am very sorry to be so late. Life is not always going as you think it will ...
Anyway, I am trying to catch up with the exercises.
I hope I will finish on time.
Hello everybody,
This is part of Tutorial 8, so here I am leaving a message on this thread.
I find this tool pretty nifty in the wiki!
Reading through the comments in the thread, I think that this is also a good tool to get people practising editing input from other people. My learners rarely want to edit the work of others directly but are happy about leaving comments (like in pbwiki comment feature) and so using this thread tool would be like a 'soft introduction' to this 'participative editing culture'.
For example, I'm randomly copy/pasting a comment already posted in this thread, then editing it as a model for ELT learners:
# Derekc (Talk | contribs)Newbies were Folk were not sure where to place their reponses,
- 22:19, 18 October 2007
and would suggest that it reads better as
Newbies were folk who were not sure where to place their reponses,
After this stepping stone, learners could then be encouraged to make direct edits to content pages.
My question now is: I have just copy/pasted the source in the thread to take the reader back to the original author and date of posting. Is there a better way to do this in this thread? --Mowik 10:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I have read so many apologies for late posting that I intorduce my response with "ditto". However, I am really glad to be part of a community that has the potential to do great work though this collaborative methodology
Anna-May
Hi Anna-May,

Hiya Wayne and all - it is so good to see all the voices of wiki going back to early 2008!
Hi Everyone! This is Tutorial 8 so I am just following instructions by posting this statement.
By the way, where is tutorial 9? I thought I was running a little late and expected to see Tutorial 9 posted this morning.
Hi Wayne!
Achieving great progress slowly! It's a wonderful thing but I've got to organise a regular wiki window into my hectic schedule. As I am beginning to discover, my wiki time will become more valuable the more I use it! Can I ask, are there any tips on striking the right balance of time devoted to wiki usage?
Best wishes,
Stephen

Hello, I am a participant in L4C14, testing the reply feature in Tutorial 8. I'm not sure if this is the current place to do this as the tutorial is a bit confusing. The thread mentioned in the activity box is not the same as that in the tip below the box.
Anyway, hope the workshop is going as well for them as it is for me.
Cheers,
John
Hi Wayne. This is my reply activity for the EL4C15. Last night I spent several hours reading and enjoying your post WikiEducator: Memoirs, Myths, Misrepresentations and the Magic. Your paper clarified all my doubts and missconceptions I had about elearning, the future of Universities, OERs, and the very most important topic: the WikiEducator Project. I appreciatte the job you all are doing in pro of accesible education for all the human beings. Warm greetings Gladys Gahona

I think this discussion forum is much easier to navigate in, than those I know from other environment. Fine... Best regards Karen
I think I have placed my remarks a wrong place, and I cannot find it. Now I try again. I think this way of having a discussion is better than the ones I know from other collaborative working areas. Best regards Karen

This is my test message to the L4C test discussion thread. I am always a little bit late, as our school year is approaching its end, and I have many students, who have to go in for exams. Therefore, I spent the whole Friday and Saturday preparing exams. Susanne Pratscher (Vienna/Austria)
One more test of the casual reply system: Had this been an actual reply there would have been some CONTENT here (since we are not content without content--we have discontent).
Cheers, radney
Not sure if I am writing this in the correct space -it is Sunday morning here in NZ and I am trying to move on with my course practice!
Good morning world! I am also a participant of the L4C workshop and i am just testing my ability to post on the discussion forum. --Malz 22:44, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Welcome! I hope you find the WikiEducator and WikiResearcher communities helpful.
If you haven't discovered it already, you may want to check the LQTemail: enable email on thread postings/edits on the Gadgets page of your WikiEducator Preferences. That will email you when someone makes a thread posting on any page that is on your list of watched pages. This is a handy way to keep up with threads around the wiki. (Complete Details)
