Preparation for Effective Teaching

In my view, there are six factors to be considered in preparing for effective teaching, quite apart from you course documentation. These factors should be considered before drawing up your course outline. These are:

1. The Learner
2. The Learning Process
3. The Subject Matter
4. The Learning Environment
5. Time
6. The Teacher

Consciously approaching your teaching with an understanding and appreciation of these factors and how they impact teaching effectiveness is key to becoming the best teacher you can be.
