My Profile
Hi. My name is Tassos Karampinis from Maroussi, Greece. I am a teacher on Information Technology. I’ d been teaching for 8 years in public schools and for the last 8 years I’ m working in the Minister of Education.
I am currently completing my master concerning the implementation of moodle in obligatory education. I have a strong interest in e-Learning and the tools that someone could use in learning management systems to support his learning and teaching strategies – especially the collaborative ones (good learning is collaborative and social). I am sure I will learn plenty of useful things in this workshop. Thanks a lot for the invitation :)--tk 19:04, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

My Reflection
Thinking aloud...
I have not yet used wiki in class – in secondary or in adult education. I would like to do it, but I feel a bit confused, unprepared.
It is said that students need to develop new skills, especially meta cognitive ones. They also need to think critically and evaluate the knowledge, to work independently and to be creative using the contemporary tools. I’m reading and experiment on Learning Management Environments like moodle which have wiki. I don’t think it’s that easy to incorporate this feature in the curricula. Of course lots of things are a matter of experience and practice. That’s why I’ m here -and not in a sunny greek beach- in a mesh of untidy wiki pages. Work in progress… --tk 13:36, 17 June 2009 (UTC).
Feedback & Notes from my WikiNeighbours
- Great to see you in the tutorial, Tassos, and to see your user page. Do you have any concerns about the quality of educational resources developed using an open authoring approach? If so, what are your concerns? If not, how does an open authoring approach contribute to high quality learning materials?--Phil Bartle 03:13, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
