Professional Background
Hello everybody
My name is Chris Gunnoo.
I'm happy to join the community of educators and to learn how to wiki with colleagues around the world. I hope to meet new friends and to collaborate to develop e learning materials for education
Education
I Studied at Ignatius Loyola College in Chennai and acquired Bsc in Chemistry at University of Madras
Completed my Post Graduate Certificate of Education at the Mauritius Institute of Education
Acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Computing from Napier University of Scotland
Now studying Msc Educational Technologies at the University of Mauritius.
My Interests
I actually have lots of interests and I find that 24 hrs are not enough in a day
I always had a passion for learning and research and the internet has contributed, enormously, to my lifelong learning, empowering me with many skills, some of which I am very proud such as the construction of a greenhouse all by myself and the practice of hydroponics, bio-gardening skills and the playing of classical guitar among others.
It has also given me the opportunity of being part of circles of great people from around the world, from whom I learnt a lot freely and is the source of my enthusiasm and inspiration. Now I am following an Msc Educational technologies at the University of Mauritius with a view of acquiring new techniques in e-learning methodologies.
I am discovering the fascinating web 2.0 platform and its tools, thanks to my teacher Dorothy, and I am aware of the potential revolution that it is bringing in the world of education and training. I am an advocate of free education for a free mind. I believe that all teachers should unlearn and relearn.

I'm presently the head of faculty of computing at College du Saint Esprit and I teach computing to the secondary level students.
