BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD
Mahatma Gandhi
Brief Introduction
My name is Patricia Schlichtand I have been working with and for Dr. Wayne Mackintosh' as the Learning4Content Coordinator and Community Builder on Wikieducator initially, in my function as Programme Assistant at the Commonwealth of Learning (COL).
In 2000, I joined the Commonwealth of Learning COL and have brought my international experiences from a variety of national and international governments and non-government organisations to COL. Since working at COL, I have gained extensive knowledge in open and distance learning (ODL) and technology-mediated learning, among many other things.
Through the arrival of Dr. Mackintosh at COL I was introduced to the concept of Free/Libre Open Education in eLearning and have since then gradually strengthened my knowledge in this area. I am now actively involved in promoting WikiEducator and building capacity in the global communities.
I have been facilitating WikiEducator Learning4Content online training workshops, monitor and evaluate all WikiEducator activities, among the many other activities I am involved in, in an attempt to build a sustainable global network of WikiEducators.
WikiEduator has meanwhile become its own entity and has found its new home under the Open Education Resource Foundation (OERF), formally launched on September 17, 2009 at the International Centre for Open Education under the leadership of Dr. Wayne Mackintosh.
My edits and views on WikiEducator therefore do not necessarily represent the views of the Commonwealth of Learning and are made in my personal capacity and advocate for WikiEducator. <br

i Patricia, this is Satarupa,a newbie in wikieductor workshop.I've just completed day &tutorial. But the confusion still persists regarding the participation in existing projects as i'm not finding any suitable existing project to participate in.M oreover don't have much idea of starting my own. Though i've thought of developing free content in Production Management.Could you please guide how can i start it & how to collaborate with others regarding this.Thanks- Satarupa
- Dear Satarupa. It is not necessarily that you have to find a project to participate in, you could create one of your own and Production management we do not have anything about on WikiEducator, so here we have a good subject that you could explore. Have a look at my user page above, there are some guidelines on how to start a pilot project you could use. Warm wishes--Patricia Schlicht 18:33, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

( : Thanks for the support and the encouragement, I must admit to feeling much braver and much more creative as I go along, and never fear I'll be taking Steve, Wayne and Yourself up from time to time on that help offer. Thanks also for the added certification.....now its to attempt background color or watermark graphics for the whole page & sounds or sound-effects on page access, though this will probably have to wait till I return on next week --Live, laugh, love and allow the blessings to continue..Antonette 20:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)) Cynthia D'Costa Dear Patricia, thanks for all the encouraging words. I am learning using a mix of trial and error and constructivism. When some one like yourself or Gita responds, then the behaviorist approach and all principles of reinforcement take over and I am encouraged to go a step ahead.... So will it be 'One day at a time'! ( : Hi Cynthia. This is what it is all about, helping each other out. One day at a time is the right approach and don't hesitate to ask, Cynthia. Warmest --Patricia Schlicht 15:43, 7 June 2010 (UTC)) ( : Thanks Patricia for your note.... eL4C41 is going to help me refresh wikiskills. ...Cynthia --Agnes 01:09, 22 July 2010 (UTC))
( : Dear Patricia, thanks for re-arranging my page and making it more aesthetic. Today we celebrate Guru Pournima in India. Guru means teacher. Pournima is full moon. This full moon day is to show reverence to our teachers. It has more to do with culture rather than religion and so even devout Catholics like me hold the day in high esteem. My privilege to wish you(my wikiguide and teacher)on this auspicious day. God Bless you..... Cynthia --Agnes 01:42, 24 July 2010 (UTC))
- Dear Agnes, You are being very kind and I humbly thank you for the honour of having this opportunity to guide you along. You will not regret your decision as it will take you far, if you stay with it. Warm wishes--Patricia Schlicht 19:13, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
