About Myself I am Dr. Rekha Mahadeshwar, teaching Business Economics in the Department of Business Economics of SIWS College which I had joined in July 1980. Educational qualification I did B.A.(Hons) in Economics in 1976 and M.A. in Economics from University of Mumbai in 1988. I completed M.Phil in the year 1985 and did my Ph.D. in Impact of Capital Inflows under the guidance of Professor M.J.M. Rao, Department of Economics, University of Mumbai. Nowadays e books are available on the internet on various sites like gutenberg. These sites also have books that are not easily available today. I also like listening to old hindi film songs on my lap top while I am working. My other interests Besides teaching in the college, I am also the member secretary of Women Development Cell of University of Mumbai(UWDC).Established in the year 2001, the UWDC provides mechanism to address the complaints of sexual harassment received by the Cell. I have also completed UGC sponsored Sensitization, Awareness and Motivation (SAM) workshop for capacity building of women managers in higher education institutions. This was followed by my training as a trainer for SAM workshop at TISS, Mumbai. I am now a resource person for UGC sponsored SAM workshop for capacity building of women managers in higher education institutions. Feedback (: Dear Rekha, So glad to see a Mumbaikar on Wikieducator.
