About Myself
I am Varsha Malwade, teaching Economics in the Department of Economics of Ramnarain Ruia College which I joined in July 1993. I started my teaching career from D. G. Ruparel College in 1992.
Educational Qualifications
I did B. A. in Economics in 1990 from D. G. Ruparel College and and M. A. in Monetary Economics and International Economics from Bombay School of Economics in University of Mumbai in 1992. I qualified CSIR(NET) examination held in June 1994.
Teaching Experience
- I am an Associate Professor, Dept. of Economics,Ramnarain Ruia College.(Teaching from 1993)
- I was also an Adjunct Associate Professor, Economics at [Valparaiso University, USA from Fall 2009 to 2013.
- I was a Visiting Faculty for M. A. in Economics at SNDT Women’s Universityfrom 2006 to 2008.
- I have been a Counselor with Indira Gandhi National Open University. (From 1996 to 2002)
- I also worked as an Academic Guide with The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. (From 1996 to 2001)
Positions Held
- I also worked as the OSD (Officer on Special Duty) to the Vice- Chancellor of University of Mumbai from November 2015 to August 2017.
- I worked as the Lead Academic Expert to the training of 19 senior public sector officers of Australia organised by Australian Public Service Commission and DeakinPrime, Australia in June 2013.
- I was a Member of Special Resource Cell, Office of Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 2010 to 2013.
- I worked as an Executive Officer, Planning & Development, Ramnarain Ruia College from 2006 to 2012.
- I worked as Convener, Collaborations Committee, Ramnarain Ruia College.
- I was appointed as an Associate of the Valparaiso University, USA
