This is an expression of interest for facilitating online and face to face workshops in the use of Wikieducator.

I am an educational developer at Otago Polytechnic and have been encouraging and supporting teachers at our institution to take up of Wikieducator. Over the past 12 months our Institution has been using Wikieducator extensively. I would like to formalise this support in our institution and start encouraging other secondary and tertiary training and education institutions in New Zealand.

Leighblackall (talk)20:23, 11 February 2008

Hi Leigh -- Thanks for submitting an expression of interest.

You clearly meet the specified requirements! We will be in touch soon to explore opportunities for you to present one of the two f-t-f workshops for NZ. I'd like you to lead the workshop for the South Island and would like to see if we can find a host institution in Christchurch.

We'll also make use of your offer to help us out with one or two of the online workshops.

Cheers

Dear Wayne, this is an expression of interest for facilitating online and face to face workshops in the use of Wikieducator in Cameroon.

I'm very interested in free, open source software and open learning (which are a real opportunity for developing countries) for several years.

I'm IT Administrator in PMU Cameroun since 05 years, I am also in charge of the course on ICT in the 3rd year AOM (Administrations Organization and Management) at the University Institute of Technology (University of Douala). I'm trying to introduce WikiEducator in the University of Douala and many other institutions in the Country in particular and sub-region (central africa) in general.

Jtouzi (talk)05:14, 14 February 2008

Dear Jibril --

Thanks for submitting an expression of interest. You are well known to the WikiEducator community as founder of the French WikiEducator!

I think the next step is to confirm a potential venue and host insitution for the first L4C workshop in the Cameroon. All we need is a letter from the respective institution which you can upload as a pdf link on your user page.

Cheers W

This is an expression of interest for facilitating workshops in the use of Wikieducator in Canada, and where needed.

Since April 2007, as a participant at the 1st Tectonic Shift Think Tank I have become an active user of WikiEducator. I progressively developed my wiki skills; and acted as a WikiAmbassador to welcome new users and prospective partners, and facilitated community-building efforts within and external to WikiEducator. As of today, I have 2,584 edits on WikiEducator.

I have professional training in adult education and instructional design, and have worked as a consultant for The Commonwealth of Learning in several education-related projects. (I have provided online facilitation support to the 1st L4C Workshop, which drew 100 participants from 29 countries, and am supporting the WikiGovernance project node.) I am excited by this opportunity to help our community grow, and equip educators with the tools to collaborate and develop free and open educational content, in alignment with WikiEd’s 2015 goal.

Wikirandy (talk)09:15, 14 February 2008

Wow -- almost 2600 edits already! That's pretty impressive.

Thanks for your interest -- clearly you have the right qualifications and experience to help us out. We're proud to have this calibre of WE in our family <smile>.

Cheers

Hi Wayne,

Hello Wayne, I wish to register my interest in facilitating the Pacific region workshops. I have been working in ICT4D and educational technology in the Solomons and region for several years and have on many occasions had opportunity to work alongside your colleagues in various workshops and projects. I have a user page here. I have taken part in the Wiki online tutorials and am very much involved in educational development in the region. I believe that in our region with small scattered populations, and with such high costs involved in traditional means of collaboration, the impact of the WikiEducator in collaborative development of open educational resources will be profound. Best wishes David Leeming

Leeming (talk)19:37, 16 February 2008

Hi David,

Thanks for your expression of interest. We're privileged indeed to receive the offer of your calibre of relevant pacific ICT skills for the L4C initiative.

I too look forward to realising the promise of WikiEducator for the region. I think the technology is particularly suited to small scattered populations. No doubt you will have seen the Pacific Island educationial leaders in our L4C promotional video.

Dr. Pankaj Khare from IGNOU, New Delhi

Pankaj (talk)21:43, 5 March 2008

Dear Pankaj,

We're privileged to receive an expression of interest from an established WikiEducator like yourself.

Your are well versed in learning design, multimedia and wiki skills. I'd be keen for us to explore the feasibility of a few dedicated online L4C sessions for the Asian region as well as the two face-to-face workshops that we are committed to present in India.

Thank you for your submission.

Cheers.

Mackiwg (talk)08:45, 6 March 2008

Thanks Wayne,
The other requirements of EoI has also completed. You may like to see Learning4Content-EoI.
I am with the community to explore the possibilities for dedicated L4C sessions for Asian Region. F2F workshop can only be planned when we get enough feedback from the learning group(s). Let me explore this as well. I have had discussions with Allama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan's VC on this and he has shown his keen interest to know more about this. We all together will be able to see this happening soon...:)Smile.gif

Pankaj (talk)23:50, 6 March 2008

Thanks Pankaj

Also don't forget about options for running one or two online workshops for the Asian region.

Do you have any suggested or suitable dates for an online workshop(s)? We can start planning these in the mean time. Typically the online workshop is taught over a period of 10 working days.

Appreciate the initiative you have taken with Allama Iqbal Open University.

Cheers Wayne

Hi Nellie,

Welcome to the WikiEducator family and thanks for your expression of interest. Your CV and interests would add considerable value to our effort. Are you thinking about organising a face-to-face workshop for teachers in Israel and/or assisting with online facilitation.

Cheers

Mackiwg (talk)12:37, 11 April 2008

I have added my resume.

Nelliemuller (talk)09:00, 13 May 2008

Hi Nellie,

Thanks for posting your CV. (I had a good chuckle at your innovative approach to reference a closed format document within WE <smile>.)

WE are keen to explore widening access to online training especially for K12 teachers -- and you clearly have lots of experience here. I'll respond to you post about the Moodle session on the main list -- but am thinking that you may want to facilitate an online workshop using your Moodle account.

Cheers

Mackiwg (talk)14:37, 14 May 2008

Hi Wayne,

Yes, I would be interested in facilitating an online workshop using my Moodle. I would like to follow your suggestion from another discussion thread to incorporate what already exists on WE into my Moodle course.

Thank you.

Victor.mensah (talk)07:30, 30 May 2008

Hi Victor,

4 - 6 June may be a bit tight for us to prepare the paper work on our end. Nonetheless, it is always possible to run a workshop as an open contribution to the community. If you go ahead with the workshop on the 4th -- do let us know.

25 June is certainly doable.

Cheers Wayne

Thanks for this opportunity...

Dear Wayne,
As discussed in London, I am giving the details of the upcoming training that I am going to conduct on development of self-learning materials. There are already 30 confirmed participants with signed learning contract. I am expecting some more to join. Though I have more than 100 enquiries and requests, I have only accepted those who have shown promise and interest. Let's hope this will be a success, as I have little bit changed the strategies based on my experience in the Bangladesh Open University Capacity Building Project. Based on this experience I plan to repeat similar workshops, as the demand is more.

You can find the details of the forthcoming training programme to start from 4th August 2008 here. If it is within the framework of L4C, you may link this as one of the L4C workshop indicating that registrations are closed.

with regards, Sanjaya

Missan (talk)00:47, 24 July 2008

Dear Sanjaya,

This workshop certainly qualifies as a L4C workshop and you definitely meet our requirements to facilitate wiki skills training.

You will see that I've listed this workshop as the 11th online L4C workshop. I must compliment you on the design and layout of this workhsop -- its going to be a huge success.

Well done! I'll be in touch with the necessary paper work for arranging the bounty.

Cheers

Hi Wayne,

This is an expression of interest for facilitating two face-to-face L4C workshops in the use of Wikieducator in the month of October 2008 in Acharya Narendra Dev College. I intend this as part of the larger India effort of extending the 'freedom' movement in the country on Mahatma Gandhi Birthday celebrations on 2 October. I imtend having these as back to back workshops for 3/4 days. If this workshop is approved, I'll be in touch with Anil/Pankaj to act as the additional facilitator/s - I'll act as one facilitator. Each batch will have between 15-20 participants - teachers/students of my college as well as other Delhi University colleges.

I, as Principal of the college, also certify that one computer (with internet connection) will be made available to each participant and facilitator during the workshop and for follow up later.

Hope this is proposal is approved soon, so that I can set the processes in motion.

Cheers,

Savithri

Savi.odl (talk)19:54, 27 July 2008

Hi Savithri,

This is an excellent proposal for L4C workshops. We'll start actioning the paper work to get this moving forward.

(With apology -- I didn't check this expression of interest page before suggesting that you post here from the main WE list.)

Cheers Wayne

Mackiwg (talk)19:00, 30 July 2008

Wayne,

I am also submitting my Expression of Interest in L4C Workshops proposed by Savitri in Delhi. If I get some idea of dates, I can block them right away.

An added proposal is to have online support to the participants for five days after the F2F workshop. Any comments/suggestions?
