Publicity of Wikieducator
Wayne
We reached home safe and comfortably. After reaching here, a lot was there to catch up and is doing the same.
I have had a session on International Operations of IGNOU in the Workshop of Asstt Regional Directors of IGNOU on 2nd July. I could generate some interest among the participants on Wikieducator. People have recorded the address and I hope they will start contributing.
I was planning to get some media publicity on CCNC and Wikieducator. I have downloaded the brochure (PDF) on CCNC and looking forward for some materials on Wikieducator.

Pankaj, I was looking at your Christianity page and we at www.bible.org are looking to develop a discipleship and disciplemaking web-app that works well on mobile. We are looking for some PhP programmers that could help us. Do you know of any we might talk to that could help us develop our spec and the web-app thanks daustin100
Yes Dustin, there are good programmers around. If you are keen in talking to them over phone, I get you their cell Numbers and also fix discussion time. Cheers
Hi Pankaj,
Congratulations on being this month's User Expo awardee. Your page is very inspiring. Keep up the good work.
Your wikineighbour, Alison
Thanks Alison.

Why not use the guidelines in our page Talk:India/Alternative_Education_Board? Better still, why not join our initiative to transfer power of education to people?
Hello Pankaj Sir U have always solved my queries. Now there is one more again for you. I have an article How to make chemistry lab an efficient place of learning while working on my user page Dr.Manisha Jain. I have inserted a wikipedia template onto my user page for this. However when i click on the template i don't find the article in wikipedia though it is available through my user page otherwise. Why so?
Hello Pankaj Sir
I have updated my user page http://www.wikieducator.org/User:Mani_g1and have uploaded educational videos on it. Just have a look. Ur suggestions are always valuable.
Manisha Jain
Thanks Pankaj Sir for shifting my page to my user page Mani_g1. Looking forward to more suggestions from you manisha jain http://www.wikieducator.org/User:Mani_g1
Dear Dr. Pankaj ji,
Leigh Blackall working with Otago Polytechnic in Educational Development has set up a page for discussions on WE framework of National and Transnational curriculum in the WikiEducator gorup on Google Groups. The discussions are very much interesing and constructive. All WE community members are warm welcome to make it a permanent venue for discussions on Curricula. The intermediate outputs on the discussions will be added/ linked to the Curriculum Project Node ( http://www.wikieducator.org/Curriculum_INDEX ) on WE

Pankaj,
Wayne and I are very interested in what you have done toward script development of these MM elements for the CCNC modules. We are hoping to develop a few of the modules to try and generate more interest from others.
Sincerely, Peter
Sounds great. I am ready to participate in the work that you and Wayne think will be appropriate to get dynamic and generic interest from others. Lets plan a way forward.
Hey! I see you've used the new collaborative video feature on your wiki. How did you enjoy using it? Have you thought of maybe adding it on to your favorite articles? Would you mind if people added on media to you videos?
Best, Avigail
I would love to have more to my Videos. You are most welcome.
Hi Pankaj,
I took the liberty of moving the hello template from Avinashoojorah's user page to the discussion page because I thought the user was one of my students. Now I realize thet the user is not my student (perhaps one of your's?) and I apologize for tweaking your template. All the bestDmccabe 03:18, 14 January 2008 (CET)
You are so considerate Dmccabe. Thanks for this...In fact, we started giving Welcome message to every new comer to WikiEducator, without any thoughts that the person may be in a group and the leader has right to sent-out first message. I will remeber this. User:Pankaj
Actually, I think it is nice that new users get a welcome from anyone in the community. That was a feature my students enjoyed over in the education wikia. Kirk would give them unsolicited advice and help on formating and structure and it was very welcome, so I would continue to welcome folks. My reason for moving the template to discussion was more to permit the template to be used to establish the user page. So, thanks for being welcomingDmccabe 17:42, 14 January 2008 (CET)
Hi Pankaj,
I notice your SLM template ~ nice looking graphics....
You may be interested (and not know about) the Otago Polytechnic Page Generator....
http://www.wikieducator.org/Template:Otago_Page_Generator
It is very cool...try it out!
In the New Year, the community will begin to talk about "logical structure" on WikiEd, and what we can do to reduce duplication....so that AS we are all working towards the same goal, we are doing things that are in line with that, and do different things to complement each other, not necessarily reinvent the wheel. This will be an important discussion for our success!

Pankaj & Randy: There's more info on how to do this at: Automated Page Creation.
Brent and Randy
I could do it. Please check Project_Templates. Seeking comments/suggestions. Please do not type "Media" as first word in the inputbox, it invoke some other template.
Thanks Randy and Brent...
We have gone throuh all the pages on Automated Pages and OP Generator earlier also. The problem is that it gives only three types in inputbox....create, comment and search. Our idea was to get the text inputting in the template where we want that the participant should put the text. We have also tried "preload"... but it open-up complete syntax of the template...
That is why decided to cretae a template within which more templates are used. The text inputting can be done by starting with "|".
We are still experimenting and you will see it on Wiki. Any comments or suggestions?
- Pankaj
Hi Pankaj,
Great set of templates evolving for your project!
You may want to play around with creating a print specific template for the ones you've created. At the moment our wiki ==> pdf generator does not do a good job of parsing html..
Here is some info on creating print specific templates:
http://groups.google.com/group/wikieducator/browse_thread/thread/01ab9d491f7bcc6e
Or compare:
Template:Objectives with
Template:Objectives_print
BTW -- the Write2Teach materials are also a valuable addition to the WE project!
Chat to you soon. Wayne
Wayne, thanks for suggestions. In fact, we two, Sanjaya and me are working together to attain the desired outcomes while practicing through Learning Templates (intentionaly word "Peadgogical" avoided; :)).
We could make use of PDF aggregator, successful...after removing HTML tags...this really works and we are loaded with lot many thoughts...(wild?? (smile)). Good thing for us.
Yeah, we discovered something strange while using inputbox in Project_Templates of BOU Project. Whenever we are inputting "Media" as first word to creat a page, it preloads some other Template than the defined Template. What could be the reason?
