Congratulations

Hi Vincent,

...on being the Dec 2010 UPE recipient. Your work in WikiEducator is very inspiring, in particular your work to encourage use of OER in Ugandan schools. Well done.

Your wikineighbour, Alison

Hi Vicent, it has been quite a long time since we last met. How are the plans going on for Ugandan Wikieducators. In otherwords what plans are there for face-to-face workshops to transfar the Wikieducator gospel country wide? Stay in touch. James--Believe 06:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Kizitomgaga

Hi Mr kiza, Thank you for the ideas you gave me and now i can say that am a fully known member of the wikieducator programme in Uganda. How i pray to God that i dont only sit back on the knowledge i have, but keep on sharing my ideas as a science educator to so many members of the wikieducator family.

L4C workshop

Hi Vincent,

I've written welcome notes to 20 of your 22 participants.

If they do not discover them on their own, would you tell them to have a look at the discussion link of their user pages? Thanks. It took me quite some time (about 2 hours), but I am exited to meet so many new colleagues!

There is 6 math/physics teachers among them, isn't it?

I hope we can recruit many new contributors for our center.

BTW, I've got a new donation, so we can continue like we started. You can tell people who are interested in joining us that we have a (moderate) pay ensured.

Wish you a good proceeding of the workshop and tell me if I can join in. I'd be ready to participate in a live Scype session, if there is interest in it.

Best regards and greetings to Victor too!

Hi Vincent,

as far as I can see, your participants are already certified, and I keep networking with some of them. Unfortunately my time is very limited as my mother is in hospital and I have to care.

But, as you invite people to work for our center, could you tell them that here in Germany is now winter holidays and I'll be back at screen from about midst of January. Then we'll have a new initiative: Choosing a pilot project for our center to work on collaboratively. And harvesting some low hanging fruits. You can tell people that with the newly received donation and that they only have to sign in on the contributors list to be on the pay list too.

I still wish you a good proceeding of the workshop and good success (sorry, the success is already there!).

Best wishes also to Victor!

Hi Vkizza, I am interested in knowing more about your physics project. Can the same view be expanded to cover other subjects such as Chemistry? I should be introducing Kenyans to it. Physica is very unpopular among Kenyan High school students. It's also poorly taught. Best reguards, LIZ

National and Transnational Curriculum Framework for WE

Hi Vincent Kizza,

Leigh Blackall working with Otago Polytechnic in Educational Development has set up a page for discussions on WE framework of National and Transnational curriculum in the WikiEducator gorup on Google Groups. The discussions are very much interesing and constructive. All WE community members are warm welcome to make it a permanent venue for discussions on Curricula. The intermediate outputs on the discussions will be added/ linked to the Curriculum Project Node ( http://www.wikieducator.org/Curriculum_INDEX ) on WE

Hello Vincent Kizza! You've mentioned some technical problems with your project page. First, did you intend to put some sentences into the boxes, that are in fact the cause of the "flow-off"-effect. If not, just begin your sentence at the beginning of the line, as it will not appear in the box. If you want to use the boxes as stylistic devices, I would suggest to create infoboxes. I didn't find a solution jet. Till then I wish you good luck for your nomination! --FatF 20:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I've found something, just insert and write your text in between. Please watch the sourcecode for the copy. I can help you if it doesn't work as wished:
