About Myself

I am Mrs Rajani Mathur.I am teaching economics at the graduate level for arts and commerce streams. .

Educational qualifications

I have done my post graduation from University of Mumbai with specialisation in econometrics and mathematical Economics.I have done my M phil in Economics from Mumbai University,The title of my mphil Dissertation was Rational expectations MacroEconomics and Policy  ;

Occupation

Associate Professor in Economics.

1. Particiated in the seminar on "Public Policy in a Federal set up" organised by the Department of Economics and The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for contemporary Studies on 20 feb at The University of Mumbai.

1.Published a co-authored paper titled "Legislating Social Change -The strange case of the Sarada Act"in the Economic and Political Weekly -Jan 13-19 2007.

2. The above paper was also presented at the South and South east Asia Econometrics Meet (SAMES)-Dec 2006.

3.The above paper was also presented at the national conference on "Governance" at the Jawharlal Nehru University Delhi-Feb 2006.

4.A co-authored paper titled "The Making of the Middle Class in Western India:Age at marriage for Brahmin women" (1900-1950) published in The Economic and Political weekly May 23 2009.

5.Co-authored paper titled "Demographic Basis of the Middle class in Maharashtra" (1900-1950) published in Arth Vijnana dec 2008.

6.Paper tiled "Women and Rural Roads Necessary but not sufficent" presented at the National conference on "Engendering Rural Infrastructure" organised by The centre for Gender Economics and UNDP WOMEN at University of mumbai tiled "Women and Rural Roads Necessary but not sufficent" in April 2012.
