By the end of this lesson students should be able to:
|
The main purpose of this lesson is to explain the BYOD policy to students and to ensure that they know how they can access the network and some of the tools that they can use on the Network. |
Resources: The resources listed in this section are designed to provide information for students. The resources are:
All of these resources the students can manually mark as having been completed, depending on whether they access and use them or not. Tasks: The first task that students are required to do is to complete a survey on BYOD. The idea of this survey is to give us some idea as to how many students have already brought their own device into school and how many are thinking of bringing one in. The survey can be viewed at BYOD survey. Following this there are four tools for the students to explore. These are Answer Garden, Wallwisher, Wordle and Twitter. Included in these pages are examples that the students can have a go at. You can't set up Moodle (papNET) to make sure that they complete the task on the page. It will mark the activity as complete if they view the page, so you may need to encourage the students to add answers or comments to the examples given.
