Workgroup to develop and organise categories
A workgroup convened to determine the best methods with which WikiEducator may categorise its content
The following is a listing of communications occurring outside of the categories workgoup pages related to the categories project, with info about follow-up and issues.
Encouraging categorisation
Helping wikieducators understand categories is a primary goal of the categories workgroup. In addition to general promotion of categorisation, we are encouraging categorisation at the project level, that is, creating a category for a project to which all project-related pages are added and categorising the project category rather than the main pages. The following communications are relevant:

- 28 Jan 2010: Suggestion to rename the Country category, if the desire is to create a listing of non-English speaking countries. Category:Countries is preferred as listing of all active countries on WikiEducator. Phil (who created Category:Country) agreed by personal email that only one broad category for listing countries is needed. As of 8 Mar 2010, all of the pages from Category:Country have been moved to Category:Countries and Category:Country has been deleted. We can see going forward what kinds of subset listings are useful.
