Brent Simpson was originally to give this workshop. Brent is a very experienced Wiki user and taught me everything I know. I'm sorry he couldn't come to Tuvalu, I know he was really looking forward to it. I hope the Tuvaluans will have the chance to bring him another time - he is especially helpful to people who are ready to learn advanced skills.

  • 2 back to back workshops with 19 attending the first and 18 the second
  • Everyone create a User page with a signed contract and an OER subpage
  • Photos, page sections, internal and external links, bold and italic, dot and number points were the main objectives
  • Report

L4C Dunedin

Lyn and Heather on the second night
John with wife Pam and daughter Izzie
Colette on the first night
  • Arrangements were made with the South Dunedin Community Learning Centre to host a Wikieducator workshop spread over 3 Thursday nights on 28 August, 4 September and 11 September.
  • Notice of a 3 night workshop went out through the Otago Polytechnic Educational Development Centre's mailing list reaching all schools and affiliates in the region.
  • 14 People expressed interest and 10 attended the first night, 7 on the second, and 6 on the final night.
  • All who attended completed a user page with basic editing including an image, a sub page to their user page for developing their OER, setting user preferences and watch lists, copyright for OER, and links.
  • Some went on to using the collaborative video tool, the download as PDF tool, and moving pages.
  • No learning contracts were signed as it was felt a verbal agreement was enough
  • A list of user pages are included below. On those user pages are links to their OER subpages.
