ICT tutorial

Hi! I've added a Lesson 9:Internet Search Engines to the Introduction to IT section of ICT. Please let me know what you think. Thanks. --AFriedman 16:23, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi there,

sorry for the late reply! The page looks good - I think more images/ illustrations would be good. I'll try and add some soon. Kakamora 13:35, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

«no subject»

Hi! Returning your visit. Thanks for the helpful suggestion. Patricia placed it in the category India. There seems to be no category for philosophy, otherwise it would go there. Can we add to the categories? Also, educational philosophy, foundations of education,..... How did you chance upon it? I was stupid enough not to name the page Sankhya - as far as I can make out, there is no way to rename a page? I'll just shift the stuff one day I have time to spare. Thanks so much for sparing the time to not only go thru the stuff but also to reflect on how to make it better. Regards Nimrat

Subjects and portals

yes its usability and navigation: i just clocked the Content link on the left - but the Secondary portal only has Maths in it and its unclear how to add subjects to it... spuriouser and furiouser... Kakamora 11:37, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Kakamora: Sorry, i had actually broken the portal pages when I tried to add the edit icon in there ... its a stupid sort of bug in mediawiki that doesn't let you make a link out of an image by just wrapping the image in a link. I've sorted it now and adding content to the portal pages should be more straight forward.

Content ownership

Hello Asim, Thanks for your note. Yes, content ownership and the rights associated, or not, with it, will be a tough issue to sort out. I am in favour of free content in principle, but I think that the issue of rights to use the content need to be clarified. If someone wished to use my content I have no problem with that, as long as it is acknowledged. I also have no problem if people modify my content, but then I would expect that they would not keep my name associated with it. And then there's the issue of quality.... it really is a complex matter. Lots to discuss :-) Are you enjoying the L4C workshop? Cheers, Rosario
