A. Halim I am a simple person Anybody can give me advice to upgrade this page. Your advice is always welcome. About Me I am Shaikh Abdul Halim, though people around me like to call me Halim. I was born November 24th, 1964 at Rajapur, a village of Khulna District, as a person I came from poverty and crucial socio-culture setup, I can realize most of the development issues from my empathetic heart. Issues like poverty, Gender, Health, Governance, Tolerance etc. have always been taking my concentration since childhood. While studying School level, I developed a deep interest in lecture, Debate, recitation, article writing, short story and poem writing. I was a sportsman. Cricket, Football, Boxing, athletics was my favorite event. I played Cricket for Agradoot krira sangstha. Agradoot was the champion of Khulna first division Cricket League. I was a Cricket Scorer also. Once there were only 2-3 scorers in Khulna and I was one of them. Now I am working with Rupantar, A renowned NGO of Bangladesh.Click here for more details about Rupantar I am working as a Programme Officer. When I was student of higher secondary I start journalism with a local newspaper. For 28 Years (1981-2008) I worked as a Journalist in Khulna. I was elected Vice-President, Joint Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Executive Member of Khulna Press Club several times. As well as I fought for Socio-Economical development of Journalist community. I was an activist of Khulna Union of Journalists. After I was elected as a Office Secretary of Khulna Journalist Union, Journalists of local newspapers started to get appointment letter from the Owner. The 60th Learning for Content and OER Development Workshop of WikiEducator was organized in Khulna from 25/5/2009 to 29/5/2009 by Rupantar in association with Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Vancouver, Canada. After getting training on L4C at our Rupantar Office here in Khulna during the training Mr. Anil Prasad, moderator from India and all the participants unanimously elect me to act as Convener of WikiEducator Bangladesh Chapter Working Group.
