Building Capacity in Community Media

In cooperation with international, national, regional and local partners, the Commonwealth of Learning, is interested in capacity-building projects in Community Media. Our focus is geared towards workshops which help develop stronger organisational structures; identify good processes; participate in Learning Activities and develop Effective Learning Programmes. COL has invested in the development and sharing of Open Education Resources (OERs), ranging from comprehensive course curricula to workshop materials. (Please see the full A-Z List of Community Media Resources)

We hope these materials can provide guidance for successful and engaging workshops, and also provide a template for partners and others to develop and customize their own workshop materials. By openly developing these materials on WikiEducator, they can become a shareable resource for others in our Community Media Community of Practice.

In the preceding table, we have made references to various Workshop Materials. They are defined below.
