I am attempting content on the topic Multimedia. please suggest the following:
- Division of topics and subtopics.
- Topics which can be added and links for content
- How content should be presented?
- Any suggestion to make it better.
Wikieducator is a woderful Authoring platform. Collabration, content sharing, advice is the key. Please help this wikineighbour. The link is Multimedia Course --Ravi limaye 00:13, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
It's been awhile since we've chatted...I hope things are going well for you. I had a technical question and thought you might know the answer.
Is it possible to block edits to a particular part of a page? Instead of using __NOEDITSECTION__ to block editing for an entire page, is it possible to use this same command (or some other) to block sections of a page?
Thanks! --Benjamin Stewart 15:16, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I had earlier registered for EL4C36 but had forgotten.
So, last week i again registered.
Please, kindly remove one of the registration.
Thank you. Ibrahim Oyekanmi
Hello Ibrahim, one of your records has been removed.
Warm wishes Gladys
Hi, Gladys I think I made the same mistake with Ibrahim. I double registered. Could you remove one of the registration. sorry, but I have just noticed it. Thanks One more thing. How can I check my messages in my Wikieducator account? Or at least a reminder?
Hi, Gladys! Great page. I have a question; how can I fill in the Learning contract? I have downloaded it but I can't fill in the information needed. Can you help? Thanks
I have a moodle account, but I am a little confused as to how I can go ahead with it.For example when I go to moodle for EL433 (or when I try to join any course that is listed)I get the message that "you haven't enrolled any courses yet....".How can I enroll courses on moodle? How far can I go with moodle ? Abdul
I want to insert a banner like yours with my picture on my page. Is it permissable to copy your code onto my page and insert my own image file?
I am immensely impressed with your profile page. Have spent a little time studying your code to see how you have done some of it - gotta finish my course first, then I'm going to experiment.

My user page could do with some tabulation for example the work history, is there a way of tabulating without using a table
The other silly little thing how do I generate from the keyboard the vertical line in the image tag for example.
--Gilesl 09:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Hello Giles, very good question. Tables are quite powerful, however they are a bit tricky when using wikicode. I have tested <div> tags in order to create blocks, however sometimes text do not get aligned properly, please see:
Border color can be changed to "white". As you can see we might find some vertical alignement issues. However is a good start, we can do further tests :-)
The "pipe" symbol can be displayed by typing following code:
Here is the pipe: |
Please also check your keyboard, most of them have the "pipe" symbol somewhere in a key. Mine is just under "Esc" key.
I am working on a Help page named "Displaying Special Characters". Please visit the page, you can find codes for many special characters.

Thank you Glady for all your help . I am trying my best to catch up and go forward. If I lag I will eventually finish and think what an experience that was.--Paulette Cato 20:43, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Dear Paulette, please keep in mind this is a self paced workshop, we will try to do our best to help you out during and after the workshop. Enjoy your lifelong learning journey... :-) --Gladys Gahona C. 23:28, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Can l still proceed with the remaining tutorials beyond Tutorial 10? They are really interesting.
After the class is over, if we have problems can we still contact you or the other tutors?
Thanks for the opportunity. I am seeing an open door through wiki as regards my career. I have alot of interest in Open Source related issues. Besides, l am a research student and there is no better place to submit my articles than here.
Just one question out of hidden concern? How do you benefit by being a tutor and especially now that the course is free? Is there someone who pays you? If someone pursued training people on how to use wikis, in what ways can he benefit?
I intend to venture into full time training as a consultancy in the near future and particularly in the field of e-learning. This training is really timely and a plus.
I hope l don't sound selfish.--Kimani Njoroge 04:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
hello sir, i am a final year student of chemical engineering and have been assigned a project on optimization of coversion of nitrogen in wasterwater treatment by activated sludge method. i need help i studying various parameters involved and forming mathematical equations??? my email add is: firstname.lastname@example.org any help would be great. thank you
Hi Gladys - I was very thankful to follow a link from your page to the PhET simulations. What a useful resource. I like the user friendly simple DC circuit constructions. Ideal for my Y10 students next term. I am trying to figure out effective ways to use new technologies in the classtroom and see how we can exploit out computer facilities in New Zealand schools whilst sharing expertise with our colleagues worldwide. You seem to have some expertise in this field and your input would be most welcome. I really look forward to hearing from you --Robin 10:28, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
So wonderful to see you yesterday. I quite enjoyed the WiZiQ workshop. It was my first time in any sort of live online session like that :-). I've learned so much since we first "met."
Just wanted to request that you stop by the Workgroup:WikiEducator Workgroups page to check out the progress that we've made. We've decided to create a charter so we can directly experience the process that we are suggesting for initiating a community-wide Workgroup.
While you are there, please add a brief statement of your relevant skills and experience (as related to the creation of the outcomes of this group) in the Workgroup participants list and note your preference as to communication method in the charter's communication section. And generally speaking all revisions, comments, contribution to ongong discussion are greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Looking forward to continued discussions.
Warm (yes, it's finally warm here) regards, Alison
Querida Gladys, Amanpreet has problems with her email preferences. I don't understand well what the problems is, but maybe you could help her? Please could you read her talk page. I'm writting this same message to other wikifriends. Thank you very much. Warm regards. --Alejacha 03:56, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Hola Gladys!!
--Zobeida Ramirez 15:07, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

También te envío un gran abrazo desde este rinconcito del Caribe Mexicano, ah que hermoso mar compartimos !! --Gladys Gahona 15:03, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Dear Gladys, I don't know if this qualifies for a comment to a participant, but you were the first one who came to mind. You have been the reason I've worked so hard, knowing that you were always there to help when I got stuck. It was great to get over each hurdle quickly with your "midnight" help. Many thanks. I look at your page as a model of what I should aim for in the future. You are a great teacher!--Marina McIsaac 01:45, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I am so honored with your comments, you are such a wonderful model of courage and perseverance, I am learning lots from you, teacher. Thanks a lot for the opportunity to assist on the workshop. Warm wishes --Gladys Gahona 14:46, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
