MY INTRODUCTION
I am Dr. Ranjana Saxena, Associate professor, in the department of Zoology, Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi. I am an alumini of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. After completing my Ph.d from Delhi University in 1985 I entered the teaching profession and ever since then I have been teaching to the undergraduate students. I have real passion for teaching and want to learn new innovative ideas that can make my classes more interesting.
MY COLLEGE
I teach in Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi, India. The college is located in Lodi Road----one of the prime locations of Delhi. Principal of our college is Dr. I.B.Bakshi. Before joining our college as the principal, he was Reader in the Department of Botany, Khalsa College, University of Delhi.

I am proud to be the Associate Professor of Zoology Department of our college. We have a staff of 9 permanent teachers, one temporary and three ad-hoc teachers. Our department is a mini family, very caring and friendly and always ready to help each other.
MY INTERESTS
Of course I luv teaching but besides that, I enjoy cooking. Of late playing games and surfing on the computer have become my pass-time. I enjoy watching comedy serials and comedy movies on T.V.
WORKSHOP ON OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The workshop on Open Educational Resources jointly conducted by Acharya Narendra Dev College and South Campus, University of Delhi has given me a platform to learn how to use wikieducator. I was actually motivated by Dr. Sarita Kumar, Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, Acharya Narendra Dev College. By the time I complete this workshop I am sure I will be in a position to upload some study material and assignments that will not only benefit my students but also would be helpful to the other students.
MY ACADEMIC INTERESTS
I love teaching Parasitology and Entomology to the undergraduate students. Although teaching is my passion, I would now like to also involve myself in research. I would also luv to contribute to the society by writing articles and books. I love to interact with my friends and colleagues and have discussions because I feel this is the best way to learn more and more and that there is no end to learning.
