Welcome to My Wiki
Hello! I am Chris Busang, an educational practitioner in Botswana interested in spearheading Media and ICT development ranging from training and resource developments to assist those who still need to move along. I have been a teacher trainer and media developer in the Ministry of Education for some 25 years before joining the University of Botswana where I am pursuing eLearning developments. Using Wikieducator is part of the enhancement tools that I see encourages students engagement in the learning and teaching for meaningful participation as a 21st Century learner.Please join me use the resource in a meaningful manner.
Professional Interest
My interests are to see the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) by disadvantaged communities that will great impact on their lifes. Further, to reduce the "the Digital Divide" that exists between the have's and have not. It is in this context that I would like to develop further Community of Practice for best learning practices using ICTs.
My Current Activities
- Spearheading the development of eLearning at the University of Botswana
- Facilitating the development of a framework for Online Programmes Development
- Development of a National Strategy for the development of eLearning initiatives for Botswana
- Writing a Book Chapter on Rural Communites Communities development using ICTs
