Introduction
I, Dr. Archna Pandey am an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi. My area of specialization is Human Genetic Disorders. I am teaching Human Genetics, Cell Biology, Medical Lab technique and Bio-statistics to the under graduate students. I am also involved in developing e-learning material for the University of Delhi. Recently, we organised a Biology Course Workshop for Life Sciences Part III at Acharya Narendra Dev College.
My Profile
I got my M.Sc degree in Bio-medical Sciences from the University of Delhi. I was awarded a doctorate degree in 2008 on the "Molecular Analysis of Dynamic Mutation- A Study of CGG repeat Instability in Transgenic Mice", also from the University of Delhi. I have done my Ph.D. work at National Institute of Immunology, New-Delhi, India.
My Interests
I am basically a sportsperson. I love all types of water-sports (especially Rafting), Trekking and Hiking. I started an Adventure club in the college for the college students. Over the past few years, we have done various activities with the college students as Wall-climbing, Rock-climbing and Para-sailing. I am a nature lover. I really love traveling to new places, hence i am actively involved in organizing academic trips every year for the college students.
Academic Distinctions
i. Gold Medal for 1st position in B.Sc. (Hons) with Pure Sciences in the college.
ii. Gold Medal for 1st position in B.Sc. (Hons) Biochemistry.
iii. Recipient of the prestigious “CSIR- Catch Them Young” fellowship consecutively for two years during post graduation. CSIR-UGC (NET) qualified (1999).

i. In charge of Biomedical society “Cathexis” and organized inter college fests (2005, 2006).
ii. Member of Annual event committee and organized various intra college and inter college events (2006, 2008).
iii. Member of committees as Examination, Purchases, Work load, Time table, Library (2004- 2006).
C. Sports/Community and Extension Service
Started an Adventure club in the college where we undertake various adventure activities for students like Wall climbing, Rock climbing, Rappelling, Parasailing (2006-2007).
D. Administrative Assignments
i. Worked as Teacher-in-Charge for two years during 2004-2006.
ii. Involved in conducting entrance examination and interviews for admission into B.Sc.(Hons) Biomedical Sciences.
iii. Worked as observer (appointed by South Campus) in various university level entrances of the University of Delhi (2006-2008).
E. Others
Participated as resource person in the workshop for Biology Laboratory Course of B.Sc.Programme III year organized by ILLL and ANDC from 21-24 October, 2008.
