When working in the industry you don't get any second chances to make that important first impression on a customer. Generally all businesses have their own set of dress and grooming standards for personal presentation therefore you must make sure you have a clear understanding what these guidelines are and adhere to them.

2.  Communication

To be a good communicator there are six words that can be used for questioning, these are Who? What? Where? When? Why and How?

Communication is the method by which people share their ideas, information, opinions and feelings.  People sharing ideas, information, opinions and feelings may contribute to the operations of teams and the work of individuals.

Verbal Communication involves questioning, listening and answering.
Non-Verbal Communication involves body language, which includes facial expressions, eye contact and posture.

3.  Social Interaction

The way we conduct ourselves with others is most important as it involves verbal and non verbal communication such as volume and tone of voice. Social interaction happens on all occasions when you are dealing with people. It makes known your attitude towards people, establishes that you feel comfortable with them and invites them to react to you in a similiar manner. If you display that you are friendly and approachable towards people it normally means they will be the same with you.

4.  Teamwork

Good understanding of team work and team building are critical for your business success. Teamwork is your ability to work with others to achieve a common goal. Effective teamwork plays a major part in achieving customer satisfaction. You must interact with other staff members on a daily basis to allow the business to function smoothly. In part, to achieve this, there needs to be a constant flow of information to and from the work area. Having the ability to work with others to achieve a common goal is an important interpersonal skill.
