Heather Day
Heather is currently the Manager (Interim) of EDC.She is also a staff/educational developer and Programme Manager for the Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching (Level7). Her specialist interest is assessment. Heather facilitates the following GCTLT courses:
- Gaining Foundation Skills for Learning and Teaching
- Assessing and Evaluating for Learning
- Assessing for Prior Learning
- Special Topic.
Heather also provides individual and/or group support in learning and teaching.

Catherine is EDC administrator.Catherine is the person you need to talk to if you have any queries about the courses EDC runs.

Terry Marler
Terry is a Programme Developer.His particular responsibilities and interests are:
- Facilitating the international cohort undertaking the six month full time Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching (Level 7)GCTLT programme
- Moodle
- digital information literacy for staff
- facilitates "Constructing Courses to Enhance Learning" in the Grad. Cert. in Tertiary Learning and Teaching
- oversees the development of projects with other departments
Bronwyn Hegarty
Bronwyn is an Educational Developer who is especially interested in flexible approaches to education and digital skills for teaching and learning.Facilitates the course "Flexible Learning" in the Grad.Cert. in Tertiary Learning and Teaching.
Bronwyn is about to submit her PhD about reflective practice and ePortfolios.

Kate Timms-Dean
Kate is a senior lecturer and works half-time in the Treaty Education Training Unit (TETU), and half-time as a programme developer.Kate teaches Te Tiriti/Maori language and culture in the Schools of Nursing, Applied Business and Social Services, and the Otago Institute of Sport and Adventure. She also facilitates Introduction to Te Tiriti workshops and teaches te reo Māori on the Certificate of Mata ā Ao Māori (Level 4).
Kate is about to submit her PhD on indigenous language revitalisation in Aotearoa New Zealand and Alba Scotland.

Peter Brook
Peter is an Educational Developer with a special interest in adult literacy, and video conferencing for teaching and learning.
Maxine Alterio
Maxine is a staff developer for learning and teaching. She is a mentor to staff who are applying for the National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards, and also teaches the the course "Writing for Journal Publication". Maxine advises on curriculum development. Her research interests are narrative and digital stories, and she is currently undertaking a PhD in creative writing.
Veronique Olin
Veronique is an educational developer with a special interest in eLearning and digital information literacy.Veronique is responsible for supporting staff to use Moodle and a variety of eLearning tools.
She facilitates the Learner Centred Learning course within the Graduate Certificate of Tertiary Learning and Teaching
Sarah Stewart
Sarah is an Educational Developer with a special interest in eLearning. She is also an EdD student, looking at networked learning and professional development.Sarah teaches in the course "Facilitating Online", and facilitates social media and technology workshops.
Sarah's interests include social media, open education and open education resources, ePortfolios and Second Life.

Ron Bull (Kai Tahu)
Ron is a Senior Lecturer and attached to the Treaty Education Training Unit (TETU).Ron is responsibile for teaching in the Certificate in Mata a Ao Maori courses.
His research interests are in Maori economic development.
