Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching (Level 7)
The Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching - GCTLT (Level 7) is a programme designed to support and extend those working as educators with adults. The focus is on being a learner-centred educator in the tertiary environment. In 2014, it is only available for participants who have already completed at least one course, or wish to do one or two courses, as it will no longer offered after 2014. This stimulating and flexible programme provides a work-based qualification, which will assist you to create and offer quality learning opportunities for students. Past participants have found that the programme transforms their learning and teaching practice.

Programme Structure
This 60 credit programme is made up of four compulsory courses (10 credits each = 40 credits). The remaining 20 credits can be attained through a choice of 5 or 10 credit elective course options.
The 2014 programme details are in the process of being finalised. Times, dates and the venues for the 2014 face-to-face workshops and links to the online materials are outlined below. Please discuss your pathway with the Programme Manager, email Bronwyn Hegarty.
Your Workload
Each 10 credit course equates to 100 learning hours during the course. Some of this time is in contact with facilitators or other participants and the remainder is self-directed.

Compulsory Courses
All these courses are level 7 - 10 credits. All courses except Learner-Centred Learning are offered twice. Dates, times and venues of the face-to-face workshops in 2014 are listed here. Face-to-face workshops will be held fortnightly with adjustments for public holidays.
Online class sessions will be negotiated with participants. Please note that information is subject to change.

Elective Courses
All courses (apart from Writing for Journal Publication) can be completed by online study. For some, face-to-face and online workshops are also offered (as indicated). Negotiated individual support is also available.
Each course takes approximately 10 weeks to complete. Enrolment is available throughout the year until October (unless course dates are indicated). Choose 20 credits from the courses below.
