Dr. Gita Mathur
My name is Dr. Gita Mathur. I am Associate Professor of Botany at Gargi College, University of Delhi, India. I have been a Botany teacher for more than 25 years. I am a trained Botanist, but over time my interests have diversified to issues related to environment, science education and innovations in teaching methodologies.I strongly believe in free access to educational content and in collaborative learning not only among peers but also between a student and a teacher.
Besides my academic responsibilities, I spend a lot of time working on innovations in teaching Botany including designing experiments which can be done with minimum facilities. I am very fond of photography, especially close-ups of plants and flowers.
WikiEducator has given me many friends & a whole lot of students at the global level. I would like to help everyone who believes in open education for all. Please visit my userpage by clicking on my name here. --Gita Mathur 04:15, 15 April 2010 (UTC) It is also great fun learning through these daily tutorials, with facilitators to help you online. I have facilitated one F2F and three online workshops.

Patricia Schlicht
I have been working with Dr. Wayne Mackintosh, the founder of WikiEducator since the get go of the initiative, in May of 2006. I have since then gradually increased my understanding, skills and involvement in Open Education and the use of and integration of open source software. It has been a privilege to see how one country after another has made use of this technology to make a difference in their own environment. WikiEducator has become the most exciting experience of my professional career. I am passionate about learning. I actively facilitate online workshops on WikiEducator as community volunteer in my spare time, in an attempt to build capacity for WikiEducator around the globe. I am interested in social networking, culture/anthropology, open and distance learning/eLearning, community and capacity building. I am a philanthropist.(: Thank you, Patricia! I'm sure WikiEducator will have a great future! It has already done miracles! When everybody in the world have free access to Internet, it will be a real revolution in Education! Warm wishes! --Teromakotero 14:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC))

Satyawati Rawool
Hello all to be and be Wiki Learners. This is Satyawati from Mumbai. I am a retired person. I worked in schools and teacher education colleges for 30 years as a learens of science of learning. I assisted learners to construct understanding of their own process of learning. This was a challenging task for me as most of the learners were interested in teaching others and impressing others with their skills. They also insisted that I should be a good teacher by telling correct "knowlegde" but I did not give up. I did develop hyper text on various topics related secondary school learning. I collaborated with different learning projects for primary and secondary school techers and learners. I did develop material for assisting learners for constructing mathematical understanding by doing mathematics. I am involved in developing content for e-B.Ed. course. At present I am working for developing OER in Marathi language.
(: Dear Satyawati, you have a wonderful future here at Wikieducator. There are many ongoing projects which you will find interesting. By the end of the workshop you will become familiar with others having similar interests. warm regards--Gita Mathur 18:16, 6 June 2010 (UTC))

Tero Toivanen
My name is Tero Toivanen. I am Special Education Teacher teaching children with autistic spectrum diagnosis in Kilonpuisto School, Espoo, Finland. I have already participated in some Learning4Content workshops and learned many things. I think Wikis might be the future of Education and I want to be part of it. For me it's also very important to get new contacts with interesting people around the world and learn with them new things, which make me a better teacher. Every day I learn new things and learning is one of the greatest pleasures in my life.(: Hi Tero. It is good to be among friends, and to see you here again. You say it, Wikis have started their way up in the hierarchy of education because there are just so many people in the world, who can't afford expensive text books, tuition fees or any education at all, which is why we all are busy laying the groundwork, with passion, dedication and conviction, not for profit, not for personal glory, just to help your fellowman and women. Warm wishes --Patricia Schlicht 02:28, 9 June 2010 (UTC))
(: Hi Tero, you are a great WikiNeighbour at this workshop. Thanks --Gita Mathur 09:37, 9 June 2010 (UTC))
