Evaluation Plan

The evaluation protocol for this project is designed to be purposeful, robust and flexible. The foci for evaluation include project commencement, project processes, project implementation and completion (outputs/outcomes) and post-project outcomes.

  • During the start up phase of the project an evaluation plan matrix will be developed.
  • Following this, a stakeholder analysis worksheet will be completed detailing their concerns, ranked by priority and time-framed. A summary of practical and feasible objects and events for evaluation will be generated from this and fed into the matrix.
  • A list of high-value evaluation questions will then be generated and added to the evaluation plan such as: how well did the project achieve its goals? How sustainable is TKNe? How efficacious was the approach pedagogically/structurally? What benefits has TKNe brought to each institution during the time period of the project?

Data will be sourced from documents, surveys, interviews/focus groups and observations. Data analysis will comprise a mixed-method approach, and detailed in the EPM. The reporting of evaluation findings will be meaningful, relevant, timely and action-focused. Reporting will occur as scheduled in the EPM to target audiences, including the final report to ALTC. Criteria for judgement will be made for each evaluation question against identified standards and criteria.

The project’s reference group will provide a useful sounding board, guiding evaluation. Dissemination of evaluation results will be timely, progressive, appropriate to the audience, action-focused and relevant. A copy of the independent evaluation report will be attached to the final report to ALTC.
