In a way, the "WikiEducator Help" is misleading. I propose that there is some cross-reference in this section, to a WikiNeighbour - in that if someone actually needs some "help" navigating / using the wiki, they will know where to go for it....
The way it's written now, it's a Help Tutorial for Educators.

Wiki help and neighbours
Thanks for the pointer.
Their are different channels for help. For example:
- Self study using the tutorials
- Directly accessing the quick start guidelines
- Help and communication from a WikiNeighbour etc.
We must still improve on the linkages between WikiNeighbours and the other resources.
We will set up a page where all WikiNeighbours are listed autamatically by inserting the Neighbour user template on their respective User pages. Must still set up instructions for this.

Addition of Community Building under Projects Heading
I think there's an important message to add "Community Building Project" under the Projects page.
WikiEducator is about learning design + building and leveraging community. Initially, the support of key individuals gives WikiEducator life and purpose. Over time though, the support and collective energies of specific community groups gives WikiEducator 'momentum' and significant growth.
As we are at an early stage in the Community Building Project, I believe it is important to give this message. As well, we want people to think in terms of their local and broader communities (and which ones they are personally connected to, of course!) - as over time, these can become integral to the WikiEducator experience...

Hi there, I've built a series of WikiEducator pages to create a course for the OERu. I'm interested to track the visitors/page views to the pages. How do i do that? I searched "page views" in the help section but couldn't find anything. Regards, Sarah
Each of the pages in the wiki has a This page has been accessed nnnn times counter in the footer. Because of the caching, that number typically under-reports actual human visits. (Of course, some ill-behaved spiders can cause the number to be artificially large.)
Hi There, I am new in this Wiki stuff of editing text, I am trying to use the tutorial to learn something. Once I get to understand how it is done, I shall notify you as soon as possible. I am just beginning to grasp the whole stuff. Keep trying you may come to get a solution to the problem.
Hello can you change the date of my new pic upload to say 2015 rather than 2014 on the main page? I cant figure it out.
see the comments below to do it. it is easy. ;-) Dr. Lisa Marie
Hi Dr. Lisa,
I can change the date for you, but I thought you might try to do it yourself first. I'm guessing you want to change "(2014)" to "(2015)" in the caption under your picture on your userpage: here.
The way to do that is to click the "edit source" tab at the top right of the page. Change the date in the third line of the code (you'll see it at the end). And then save the page. This should change it.
Another option is to add a more sophisticated template on your userpage, which offers more info about you. See my userpage, for example. Let me know if you are interested in this and I'll help you get it set up.
Your WikiNeighbor,
I really read through the whole list and don't see where to request help for what I think is a technical problem.
I can't display my user page - total white out. This has been going on since I tried adding a reference to the Template:ITC to my user page. Previously I produced a recurring whiteout when I added a discussion page Category:Invitation to collaborate. My guess is they are related. It's likely a user induced failure. Probably a missing or broken HTML tag someplace. I'd fix it if I could but I can't even view the source for either page to determine the cause.
Please help.
..Valerie
Wow, good question! And I see what you mean, I can do a thing with it. I tried going to this URL:
http://wikieducator.org/index.php?title=User:Vtaylor&action=edit
I thought it might be a back door into removing that template, but that just showed up all white as well. I looked at the code for Template:ITC and don't see anything in there that should have this effect. And when I look at the HTML code in those all white pages, there's none there at all.
Have you posted a call for help on the Google Group?
