Professional Background Summary I have a broad background in various management and individual contributor roles in higher education, social services, and corporate environments.
I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Missouri - St. Louis ever so slowly working toward a PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with a specialization in Adult Education and Human Resource Development. I have earned masters degrees in both Management & Leadership from Webster University and in Counseling from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University). Undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) degree was also from Northeast Missouri State, with a major in Social Science.
I have also completed certification courses in use of the DiSC family of behavioral style assessments and the Conflict Dynamics Profile, and am a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHR) which allows me to adminster a number of other assessment and measurement tools.

Married with four wonderful children, three great kids in laws, five adorable grandchildren, and two cats. Raised on a farm, enjoy all types of music, have been both an Army officer and an addictions treatment therapist. Life-long learner to the MAX. Like to read the cartoons every single morning.
I blog at least weekly on my two blogs and as a guest blogger on several other sites as needed. Conducting preliminary research on learning within the context of social media. Currently completing a paper on cultural competency and leadership development education. Teaching American Popular Culture at the University of Phoenix. Planning the yearly program calendar for the St. Louis chapter of ISPI (International Society for Performance Improvement) Preparing a class on Prayer 101 for an adult Christian Formation class starting in January
