I work as Associate Professor of History at V.G. Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce, affiliated to University of Mumbai. I've been teaching History to undergraduate students for the last 28 years. '
I've completed M.Phil and Ph.D. in History from University of Mumbai.
My research interest lies in Local History, Regional History and Area Studies especially of the pre modern and early modern periods of Maharashtra, India. I have worked on the history of Mumbai and her neighbourhood in the pre modern period. Sources related to this area and period are scarce and rare to find.
I understand that educators of today need to enhance their skills and prepare better to face new challenges posed by the electronic revolution. I'm looking at learning such skills from this course. It's fun to try editing what I had written earlier. Have just learnt to edit. Hope I'm moving in the right direction.
My wiki projects
- I registered for eL4C54, a Learning4Content workshop to learn wiki skills.
I wish to learn how to add inserts to my page

| Brief description of project
|| <I would like to be associated with a project that deals with the Local History of Greater Mumbai>|
