My profile
Greetings from Aotearoa New Zealand. I moved to Dunedin from Christchurch 10 months ago and have found it a friendly, funky place to live. The further south you go, the friendlier the people.
Professional background
I homeschooled my children for 3 years, worked in adult literacy, worked with students with disabilities, and most recently have been working in educational administration. At the end of 2007 I spent 6 months working on the Routeburn Track - a stunning location and my first (and I suspect last) experience of working in the tourist industry. I also do contract work from home - administration for a small charitable trust, proofreading and editing, and research assistant tasks.
Education
Parenting and relationships continue to provide my most challenging and life-changing educational experiences. It's hard work learning how to be a human.
My formal education includes a BA (in Education), a year learning beginner's Japanese, and a paper in Public Health.

Things I enjoy include:

- poetry (reading other people's, not writing my own)
- gardening

- spending time with family and friends
- exploring spirituality
