Point number 1:

First point of discussion; Closing issues to MBL911K Assignment 1 - Are there any more issues, Shumi did you get your querie sorted with Shungu?

Are the rest of the team satisfied with the report?

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:11, 16 March 2009

Hi Hermanus,

I am fin withe the content of the report, but it is 19 pages and the maximum is 17 pages. I also saw that some of the pages from one point to the oter did not use the full page, maybe you need to bring those points to the pages where the former point ends so we do not exceed the 17 pages. Comments from others?--Luisaserra 18:14, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Luisaserra (talk)07:14, 16 March 2009

There was a discussion this week between Victor and I where everyone was included in the mails. But the content of the report is only 17 pages long, however to help the report flow better we decided to start each new heading on a new page.

How does the rest of the team feel about this?

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:17, 16 March 2009

My view would be to comply with the 17 page limit - we could be penalised for not following instructions

JEREMIAH CHAPHXANYA (talk)07:21, 16 March 2009

We are complying with the 17 pages limit in terms of actual work content, it is just the layout that makes it longer, but easier and more clearly defined?

Change or not change? Shungu, your the project leader onthis one what is your opinion?

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:25, 16 March 2009

I had a chat with her. There was probably an oversight. I believe this will be sorted out shortly. Just to put everyone on the same page, we left out question 3 on the final doc. - Diversity mngmt definitions.

Shumimlingo (talk)07:15, 16 March 2009

Ok we already have a problem with the report lenght, how much info is it and when will I receive it, I need to have the final draft ready early tomorrow if changing is needed?

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:19, 16 March 2009

Its about a page. Perhaps Shungu can give the timelines

Shumimlingo (talk)07:21, 16 March 2009

Thanks Shumi, got your mail.

Utang (talk)07:32, 16 March 2009

I am happy with the draft - I have provided my suggested cosmetic changes.

JEREMIAH CHAPHXANYA (talk)07:18, 16 March 2009

Jeremiah Great that you so much for your input, are you satisfied with what I have done with the questionnare you created?

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:20, 16 March 2009

Hermanus

Shumi's issue l have seem the documents will post them to you, as we are discussing thats why l did not put the document on the eds. About the length of the assignment l recommend we stick to the --Shungunyoni 18:38, 15 March 2009 (UTC)required number of pages because the moment he marks 17 pages he stops then the other part of the assignment will not be marked.

Shungunyoni (talk)07:38, 16 March 2009

I don't think there's any hard and fast rule regarding exceeding number of pages. If we fall short there'll be a problem, but unless the info is not important, I don't see why we can't include them, despite having more pages. Just my thoughts....

Utang (talk)07:41, 16 March 2009

Utang hie The inform is important and it should be included in the assignment it is that part at first the lecturer had said we should leave it out and then he later wrote to say we should include it he was mixed up so it is part of the assignment.--Shungunyoni 19:03, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Shungunyoni (talk)08:03, 16 March 2009

Thanks for that response and noted, will incorperate changes, please ensure that I receive the document tonight still. I get to the office at five in the mornings, and will work on it then.

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:42, 16 March 2009

Hi Hermanus, I would like to get a confirmation from you have you will use the 4 pages that are half and one third used to bring the document to 17 pages. If you remember back in the Study School some lectures actually memtioned not reading the assignment if it exceeded the pages. I understnd your point but you do not know how the lecturer interperts the length of assignments, let's not give any opportunitties. Jeremiah & Shungu comments are clear.--Luisaserra 18:48, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Luisaserra (talk)07:48, 16 March 2009

Luisa, To confirm I will strickly be sticking to the 17 pages, that means changing the current layout format, however I am concerned about the extra page that I now have to incorporate.

Hermanus Louw (talk)07:52, 16 March 2009

Actually, I take that back. I just saw in the assignment outline that we cannot exceed 17 pages. We have to comply. Maybe we can remove some and add some depending on what is most important. But we must stick to what is required like including the 3 definitions of diversity management. That carries 10 marks.
