Project Portal for the Reef and Rainforest OER wiki
A collaboration between UNESCO and the Solomon Islands Ministry of Education
Drafting of Lesson Plans for the Marovo reef and Rainforest Wiki
These WikiEducator pages will be used for drafting of the lesson plans only. The draft lesson plans developed in this collaboration are subjected to an approval process through the Ministry of Education and the quality assurance team. This will ensure correct curriculum linkage and authenticity regarding Marovo indigenous knowledge.
The completed, quality assured and approved lesson plans are then uploaded to the UNESCO Marovo wiki site. These can be seen at the links below:

Create a Draft Reef and Rainforest lesson plan (Marovo version)
(this will be translated into Marovo including the title!!!)
- Think of a descriptive, unique and catchy title for your lesson. For example: "Turning Turtle!" rather than "Marine biodiversity lesson" or "Lesson on turtles". Avoid non-descriptive titles like "Lesson 1"
- Type the title of your lesson in the text box below. Please note the proposed style convention for capital and lower case letters. First letter Uppercase and the rest lower case. For example, "The fishy tales of Marovo" not "The Fishy Tales of Marovo". Keep capitals where required, for example place names, as shown in the fishy tales example.
- Remember to write down the name of your lesson (case sensitive) so you can find your lesson page in the wiki.
- Click on the "Create a new OER Reef and Rainforest lesson plan", a new window will open. Follow the instructions on screen. Remember to click on the Save button before you finish.
