L4C Advance Workshop
Hi Everyone and Welcome!
WikiEducator (WE) is becoming the largest Mediawiki skill training initiative in the world! So far, more 900 educators have participated in this historic initiative, funded by the Commonwealth of Learning and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. We are looking forward to achieving our target of 2500 people trained by December 2008.
This is a 5-day workshop (45 minutes per day) - with a 45-minute pre-workshop activity. This self-directed workshop (with Facilitator support) is designed as an introduction to WikiEducator and MediaWiki skills. This workshop is designed to also provide an experience of the dynamic energy of peer collaboration in an open wiki format.
When you complete the tutorials for this workshop, you are entitled to receive a valuable WikiApprentice certification in the WikiMaster Certification Framework.
This L4C-Advance Workshop will also help you expand your international network of contacts and relationships, and introduce you to a global Community of WikiEducators.
