EXPERIMENTS

Get your children hooked on exploring with these easy experiments. Try the approach of PREDICT then EXPLAIN (before carrying out the experiment) and OBSERVE then EXPLAIN (during the experiment). Have some fun

  • Experiments with SALTY and FRESH WATER. Fresh water from glacial and land ice melt runs into the sea creating interesting ocean dynamics. Try these experiments to explore what happens when fresh and salt water meet.

Produce a Pantoum - A whole class poetry activity about Antarctica.

Origninating in Malaysia, the pantoum is a poem consisting of 12 repeated lines. Use this as a processing activity, or as a summative activity at the end of a unit. Adaptable for all ages. This English based activity incorporates all levels of Expressive Writing and Poetic Writing objectives of Written Language.
