Research tells us that the majority of academics and leaders do not know what OER is. Its too complex to define in a short video, but we need to address what open is, for example "Open education widens access to learner especially for those excluded from formal education"
Copy has been added to the script.
Our research also shows that our philanthropic mission to widen access to education is the highest ranking reason why institutions join the OERu.
I think we need to emphasise up front that OERu is a charitable collaboration to distinguish ourselves from commercial start-ups.
Both points have been incorporated into the script.
