Dr. David Wiley is Co-Founder and Chief Academic Officer of Lumen Learning, an organization dedicated to increasing student success and improving the affordability of education through the adoption of open educational resources by middle schools, high schools, community and state colleges, and universities. Previously, David was Associate Professor of Instructional Psychology and Technology in the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University. His career is dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunity for everyone around the world.
David was born and raised in West Virginia. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a two-year mission for the church in Fukuoka, Japan from 1991-1993. David currently lives in Utah with his wife, Elaine, and their five children.
