Useful abbreviations

As microblog posts are limited to approximately 140 characters, a new vocabulary with its own shorthand and abbreviations has emerged to conserve characters. You may be familiar with some of these abbreviations from text messaging.

Abbreviation	Meaning
@	Used in conjunction with @username to post a public reply to a user's micropost
#	Prefix used for a hashtag, eg. #OERu (OER university)
AFAIK	As far as I know
b/c	because
BTW	By the way
BRB	Be right back
CX	Correction
DM	Direct message (usually a request to use the direct message feature which only you and the recipient can see)
EM	email
FB	Face book
FTF	Face to face
G2G	Got to go
Gr8	Great

IMHO	In my humble/honest opinion
LMK	Let me know
LOL	Laughing out loud
MT	Modified tweet used in conjunction with @username of the original tweet
