Hi Richard,

You may wish to learn how to use wikieducator at some point and edit this page.

--nelliemuller 19:23, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes, that'll be fun to do, Thank you. In the meantime, I am working uploading my public speaking students' speeches on video at the ning you led me to create which you can see when you click here: http://cuentacuentos.ning.com

It looks great, Richard. I love what you are doing with your ning. It is full of wonderful sound and color. What's incredible about the wiki is that we can collaborate and edit the same pages; something that can't be done on the ning. I am very interested in collaborative writing. --nelliemuller 19:30, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes, Nellie, but what if someone enters and wrecks havoc with work entered here?

I don't want to dismiss the importance of your ideas on collaborative writing at all, just want to see every success in this new and exciting venue for further learning and teaching. I presume that because I had to use a user name and password to get in here to write this here, that the password/username protection is some guarantee against the kind of intrusion I fear.

Exactly, Richard. It is very easy to trace the person who added or deleted someone's words whether intentionally or not. There are watch pages that track the changes with email notifications to those who mark the pages, and there a pages called contribution that track everyone who adds to the wiki as well as to what page and the exact words they contributed. Plus you can revert back to an older version . So the advantages of helpful sharing outweighs the disadvantages. --nelliemuller 23:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Great! Thank you for the explanation, and, as I said, just now I hope you get a good and well-deserved night's sleep. Just now I am so enjoying the birthday present my brother gave me, A CD of the soundtrack for a film by Faith Akin, "Auf der anderen Seite/The Edge of Heaven," the music is very soothing. Perhaps you would like the music too. Thank you for everything. Richard
