Im Reena from Mauritius and I am very happy to be part of wikieducator. Despite the daily hectic schedule at work, studies and home (I'm also the mother of a son of five years old who is very demanding!), I love to learn new skills.
Professional Background
Responsibilities
- I have been mainly involved in the pedagogical design and development of print-based distance education (DE) manuals.
- Since I joined the University of Mauritius, the training obtained has been directed towards the same orientation, that is, instructional design and pedagogy for printed DE materials.
- Oversee the design and implementation of DE materials according to the schedules and standards established by the University,
- Coordinate off-campus programmes, involved in the instructional editing/review of manuals and they oversee other related administrative duties.
- Edit DE materials,
- Carry out research in the field of teaching/learning and distance education.

My Interests
Professional
I love teaching and that is why I also tutor (not lecture!) at least one part-time course on Communication Skills module per year at the University of Mauritius.
Personal
I love reading novels, watching all types of movies, playing badmington and going to the gym and without forgetting to mention that I love and enjoy eating, gardening and flowers!!!
