My Profile
This page is created as a learning tool for Peles L. Biswalo. I am a lecturer at the University of Swaziland - Department of Adult Education. The university is situated in Swaziland, Southern Africa. I am currently learning how to use Wiki so that I can be able to create learning materials to be used by other people around the globe.
I would also like to contribute to WikiEducator so that my skill and knowledge can be of benefit to many users world-wide. For starters however, the main target is adult learners enrolled in our programmes at the University of Swaziland. Due to lack of access to current learning materials, I believe they can benefit from materials created through Wiki. Accessibility to the Internet is minimal though there are some who have full access in their workplaces. Internet Cafe's are also increasing. It is possible for many learners to access online materials.
I teach Instructional Design techniques whereby the learners are expected to create training programmes/materials that they can use to reach community members or workmates. I would appreciate to get input on current instructional design techniques and perhaps freely available materials/resources that can be accessed by myself and the students.

Professional Background
My tertiary education began in the USA (Indiana State University) where I did a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Physical Education. I also hold an educational specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I went for further studies but changed direction a little to get a Masters in Educational Technology. Worked at Sokoine University of Agriculture - Institute of Continuing Education. Later on was sponsored (through and AID project to do a Masters in Instructional Systems Design and Florida State University (FSU).
