My Profile

This page is created as a learning tool for Peles L. Biswalo. I am a lecturer at the University of Swaziland - Department of Adult Education. The university is situated in Swaziland, Southern Africa. I am currently learning how to use Wiki so that I can be able to create learning materials to be used by other people around the globe.

I would also like to contribute to WikiEducator so that my skill and knowledge can be of benefit to many users world-wide. For starters however, the main target is adult learners enrolled in our programmes at the University of Swaziland. Due to lack of access to current learning materials, I believe they can benefit from materials created through Wiki. Accessibility to the Internet is minimal though there are some who have full access in their workplaces. Internet Cafe's are also increasing. It is possible for many learners to access online materials.

I teach Instructional Design techniques whereby the learners are expected to create training programmes/materials that they can use to reach community members or workmates. I would appreciate to get input on current instructional design techniques and perhaps freely available materials/resources that can be accessed by myself and the students.

(Comment.gif: Dear Peles, I see this is not your first time to the Wiki. Keep developing your page. You are on your way of becoming a skilled Wikimaster and could reach the next level of WikiBuddy, if you do more work on your page, Warm wishes--Patricia 00:24, 26 August 2009 (UTC))
(Comment.gif: Hi Peles! Your page looks great. I saw your sandbox and read your note on learning. While developing my sandbox I thought of putting some information on FORGETTING. Co-incidence, Isnot it? Perhaps you may not be aware that one of my colleagues was to join your distance education institute early this year, but then he got settled there in India only. All the best to you. Have a Happy Learning...! (I mean, no Forgetting...  :-) -- Ramesh Sharma 14:00, 2 September 2009 )
