My interests
Professional
My "day job" is to lean on commercial health insurance companies to persuade them to pay patient's bills when they are owed (family firm). By night, I am working with a small team to create a project-based education program to save failing schools. Our hope is to move shortly into a small school in Lafayette, Louisiana. Students would learn through the process of creating, rather than sitting in rows listening to lectures. It's a bit of a departure and we're meeting some resistance, but we have a lot of support and I think we shall get there soon. Meanwhile, I've just submitted my most recent play, "Life Takes A Holiday" to my company for production. We shall see how that goes.
Personal
The really wonderful thing about being a grandparent (in case they haven't told you yet) is not that you can send them home when they misbehave, but rather that you can misbehave right along with them and there is absolutely nothing your children can do about it.

Feedback and notes from my WikiNeighbours
- Kimberley, I find your day job and your other project with education an interesting contrast! Grandchildren - yes, such a good excuse to be a child again right along with them. Hope you have enjoyed the workshop :) --Cheri 16:19, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Kimberley, As this workshop is nearing its end now, could you decide on developing at least one free content resource licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by yourself (and others) on WikiEducator? With best wishes, Ramesh Sharma 20:10, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Kimberley, Please update the information on it. From the edits it seems you could not work on your pages. Hope you are not facing any difficulty. if so, pl do let us know.--R C Sharma, PhD 18:14, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Hello Kimberly,
Welcome to the club. Relax, you are among friends. We joined eL4C41, but could not reach Wiki Buddy level. There is no stress or pressure here. You can take your own time. My friend Mathew's father expired during the course and we all lagged behind. But this time we are going to make it. If you need someone to collaborate, we are all available.
We are from eLC41, who didn't make it last time. We'll try harder this time. One of us will be always available to collaborate with you .Darsana Joseph, Sebastian Panakal, Savitha Harish and Mathew M K. My email is Sebastian Panakal Skype ID: sebastianpanakal
How kind. Thank you for your warm welcome. I look forward to learning with you -
Kimberly
