About Myself
I am a Cameroonian.I am a high school guidance counsellor working in General Leclerc High School Yaoundé. I am also a researcher with Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa (ERNWACA) Cameroon. I am currently working as a researcher with the PanAf project on the pedagogical integration of ICTs in Africa, and presently i am working on gender differences in ICT use and access in Cameroon and Central Africa.
My interests(Academic, Professional, Social or Economic interests)
I a expecting a masters degree from the University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon, Department of Psychology , Specialty- Science of Education in 2010.I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Vocational and Educational Guidance and Counselling, (DIPCO) from the Higher Teacher’s Training College (ENS) Yaoundé, Cameroon, (1994-1996).I have a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB),Option: English Private Law (1990-1993) from the University of Yaoundé 11 Soa, Cameroon. I underwent a training at the training institute on women's rights and citizenship at the University of Witswatersrand, Johannesburg. With ERNWACA my specialties are ICTs, gender, citizenship. I have attended several workshops,seminars and conferences on ICTs and Pedagogy,ICTs and gender. Socially i am a member of several associations and gender machineries. I am a coordinator of several meeting groups i represent. i underwent training on Leadership by Pan African Network of Leaders (PANEL), Yaoundé, Cameroon (2007). I am about to set up a women's empowerment centre in my country to train women on ICTs.
Ongoing projects and recent work
-Gender Differences in ICT access and use in PanAf schools in Cameroon: To be presented at e-learning, Africa / International Conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training, Lusaka Zambia, May 2010. -Socio-cultural factors affecting Gender Inequality: The case of Higher Education in Cameroon. To be submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the award of a Masters degree in Science of Education.2010 -The Pedagogical Integration of ICTs in some Cameroonian Secondary Schools: Successes and Challenges, published in Pan AF Edu 2010, VOL. 2, Issue1. -ICTS and Gender Development in some Cameroonian Secondary Schools: Presented at the 3rd International Conference on ICT for Africa (ICIA) 2010 in Yaoundé, organised by the International Centre for Information and Technology Development, Southern University, Baton Rouge, USA - The Impact of ICTs on Learners and the Learning Process in some selected PanAf schools in Cameroon: presented at a colloquium (session des dialogues politiques nationaux d’intégration pédagogique des TIC dans l’éducation) on Pan African Research Agenda on the Pedagogical Integration of ICTs, Yaounde, Cameroon, April 2009. -A comparative study of gender differences in ICT use and access in selected schools in rural and urban areas in Central Africa. -The voice of the Woman in Cameroonian Politics, and its Implication. Presented at the Training Institute on Women’s Rights and Citizenship, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and submitted to IDRC (2009). -The impact of ICTs on educators and teaching in selected schools in Cameroon.
