Greetings from Malaysia!
Multiculturalism has not only made Malaysia a gastronomical paradise, it has also made Malaysia home to hundreds of colourful festivals. It's no wonder that we love celebrating and socialising. As a people, Malaysians are very laid back, warm and friendly.
Geographically, Malaysia is as diverse as its culture. There are two parts to the country, 11 states in the peninsula of Malaysia and two states on the northern part of Borneo. Cool hideaways are found in the highlands that roll down to warm, sandy beaches and rich, humid mangroves.
One of Malaysia's key attractions is its extreme contrasts. Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built on stilts, and five-star hotels sit several metres away from ancient reefs. Source: [Malaysian Tourism:http://www.tourism.gov.my/]

My Interest
My Job
Since joining the University, most of my time is involve planning for the course development and delivery of course materials. Thank GOD that my passion is publishing and I've enjoyed every minute of my work even though it's very stressful due to tight deadlines.
As the head of the department for ETP, my job scope encompass instruction design, editorial, production and distribution of courses. Everyday is a learning experience as WOU is still a new University and we face various challenges all the time.
Traveling
My other interest is traveling and getting to know the cultures of others. I travel whenever I have the time.
I love using Wikitravel for information research before I travel. I find it useful and most of the facts are up todate. The hotel and restaurant recommendations help when I'm planning my trip.
I save a lot of time and effort when I travel after reading Wikitravel. I'm going to Yogyakarta next week, and from Wikitravel, I've found the places of interest to visit as well as a reputable tour agency to arrange for transportation.
