My background is in the area of education and governance in Indigenous and developing communities and countries. I joined COL [1] in April 2007 [2] to lead the new governance sector. I look forward to using wikis to encourage development of governance-related activities within countries and sharing of governance-related initiatives across cultures and between states.
One of the areas I am looking forward to is the sharing of models and approaches to governance between Canadian Indigenous communities and others from developing countries, to further exploration and adoption of a blend of traditional, cultural governance mechanisms with conventional democratic institutions.
I am also most interested in exploring approaches using wiki to facilitate thinking and discussion on governance-related courses and awareness raising amongst people with limited formal education including across cultures.
