My name is Elizabeth LLatas and I am a foreign language teacher here in my hometown Trujillo,Perú. I have been teaching English since 1989 and at present I am the academic director of a language School named El Cultural. I am a digital inmigrant who is trying to update her knowledge about computers and internet-based courses. I hope I will learn a lot and I am sure that whatever I learn here will cause a big impact in my life and job.
I studied at sagrado Corazón High School from 1970 to 1981.Then I applied for the National University of Trujillo where I was accepted in the Language Teaching training school. I finished my university studies after almost 9 years due to the National Strikes. I plan to study a master program to keep on learning in my field of studies.
I am a foreign language teacher who never stops learning so even though I am always pretty busy trying to keep a balance between my duties as a career woman and a mom. On my free time I love reading books about personal growth and watching movies. I also enjoyed traveling with my husband and son. I was born with typewriters so using computers is something that means a real challenge to me.That's why I think that it is time to try to improve my computer skills and learn to use these technological tools for my professioanl development.
I truly believe that the only way to improove ourselves is by having a strong will to learn. The first time I heard about wikis ,I thought that was not for me, but now everytime I try to patrticipate in this free online course ,I really feel determined to make things happen to me. Learning by doing is my motto!
