Professional background
I am currently working as a circulation librarian at a graduate school that is nestled in the sun kissed hill of Santa Barbara, California. This has been my first 'real' job since graduating with my undergraduate degree.
Education
In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I entered high school at Victoria Composite High School and graduated from Victoria School of Performing Arts. The school had changed its name during my years of attendance.
A few years later I received two Associated degrees from Santa Barbara City College (the best city college in the world!). One degree was a general Liberal Studies and the other was a Liberal Studies with transfer emphasis.
From SBCC I transferred to the University of California, Berkeley where I pursued a Bachelors of Art in Rhetoric.

Personal
These days I am liking to try cooking new and exotic foods; work out; and read good novels, as opposed to thick philosophical/theoretical texts. Oh yeah and I go to the movies at least once a week.
I also attend to my dog, Sophie along with some chickens and honey bees I own in my back yard.
I like adventuring to...!
My wiki projects
- I registered for eL4C41, a Learning4Content workshop to learn wiki skills.

Feedback and notes from my WikiNeighbours
- Dear Arron, Welcome to WikiEducator. Glad you are taking advantage of this wonderful learning opportunity. Jump right in and dare to make some edits. You will see it is not that difficult. If you need any help, feel free to contact me (click on my name at the end of this message to access my userpage where you can leave a note). - Hi Arron, First, congratulations on becoming a Wiki Apprentice Level 1. You've done some good work. Second, good that you left a note on my page. Sorry I was so long getting back to you. I messed around with the interwiki link to wikibooks and my conclusion is that the "b:" prefix isn't working properly. It didn't become capitalized in my trials and my experience has been that links work both with and without the underscores, nevertheless it didn't work. I was able to get the link to work with the full "wikibooks:" prefix AND I noted that the full prefix is what is used in the example on the tutorial page, so I'm guessing the problem has been faced before. Are you a member of the WikiEducator google group? That would be the place to ask about this issue--include a link to your sandbox which shows how it doesn't work. If you like, I can post about it. Jim is the technical wizard hard at work behind the scenes. He will look into the problem more deeply and let us know. Let me know how you want to proceed. Even though the workshop is over, you can keep on chugging! --Alison Snieckus 22:54, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- Arron, I'm glad that you are continuing to work through the tutorials. You are now certified as a Wiki Apprentice Level 2. Yes, errors do occur, and sometimes new ones crop up. I'm happy to hear that you will be following up about the non-working interwiki "b:" prefix for wikibooks. I look forward to learning more about your wiki project. <smile>, --Alison Snieckus 23:04, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
