Cathy do want the log as another page, as a downloadable or a copy and paste section?
--Catherm 04:23, 1 September 2009 (UTC) This looks cool. Yes I think it need to be another page as there will be some learning to done before the students start their own log. The learning would be looking at am example of Stella and James logs. Perhaps we could make their logs a bit crappy and get the students to identify good and bad log features. Goal setting quite a dry topic I think we have work hard, be creative to make it a bit more enaging. The log or journal could be something interesting like a blog or journal.
--Catherm 04:26, 1 September 2009 (UTC) Andy if you have better images please use them. I think they should be the same size if possible.
--Rmaidment 17:39, 1 September 2009 (UTC) I like the images Cathy. Blog is a great option to give them for the journal. Lots of people have goal setting blogs - to do all kinds of things - I'll find some appropriate examples to link to.
--Catherm 18:59, 1 September 2009 (UTC) A couple of things
- Andy barriers/ enablers could go under the tab of Action plans which would free up one tab for the recording / logging the goal process
- I have added a draft action plan for Stella and James in Action plan tab so that you can see how their stories unfold. I will not be able to spend much time on the project until the weekend and I don't want to hold up the other parts of the project. the action plans are just a draft but it lets you see where the story is going and so that you can write yuor own semgent for your part.
- I have / did add some notes and a reading on Active learning and low literacy to the Stream environment which hopefully will be useful. Feeel free to add to it.
- Andy could we ask the tutor on the course or perhaps you are clever enough how to make the profject a share/group project as I would like to add it to my wikied page under projects and I would stil like to go private with our work until we are ready to publish if possible
Cheers Cathy

Hi Cathy
Can make those changes to the tabs - each tab makes a new page so we need to be specific on the name. Cant use the slash in "recording/logging" Could use just "Recording" will keep the nav bar from running to two lines.
--Catherm 04:42, 2 September 2009 (UTC) =====Great Change and improve the wording as you see fit, I thinking short punchy wording is best but the brain is not wired that way today :0) Recording is good, what about "log progress" and what about "plan for action" it is good if they describe what the learner will do. "Get sorted" is another. Suggestion welcome and let wait until we are sure before actually making the changes.
The course facilitator says it's easy to move the pages and on the privacy issue there are no links to it anywhwere so it should remain fairly private. You could copy this link beneath your "My Projects" in the meantime. User:Achapman/Be_Your_Own_Life_Coach. I will look into how the groups thing work.
I won't have much time on this now till after the weekend - have an assignment due for another course.
--Catherm 04:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC) Good luck with that.
Just read Cathy's papers (thanks they're great) - I think we should put a suggested timeline in here somewhere. Could go in the teachers notes. Could go on each activity. Important that users get given a sense of deadline.
Any one want to write at the top of this page instead of the bottom?
I notice there are talk pages here with threaded discussions. I like this here with everything on one page and notes on the project pages themselves. We could archive these discussions by putting them on another page when this one gets too long.
Cheers Andy
