Academic writing differ from other types of writing because it is for scholars and written by scholars. In addition , academic writing is more formal, we should avoid contractions, phrasal verbs, repeating too much the same vocabulary etc.
The function of academic papers is to find a topic which could be interesting for others. To make them feel good when reading a good topic.
Academic writing is written by scholars to scholars, It has to be interesting for others and it should present an argument.
The statement …Academic writing is writing done by scholars for other scholars. It means that those topics are interesting for the same kind of community (academic community) and someone may write something interesting for him and another person, for example in the same age, would be also interested in.
It is important to include personal responses in an academic paper because in this way the writer is expressing his own ideas and at the same time is being analytical with the topic.
We form an informed argument by seeing what we know about the topic, then we look the relationship between the topic and concepts I already know and finally analyzing the topic, researching and giving different opinions.
