Testing WikiEducator's Threaded discussion tool
Every page in the wiki has a corresponding talk or discussion page. This is very useful for discussing the collaborative development of teaching resources in WikiEducator.
I've set up this thread so that you can test the feature and see how this works in the wiki environment. Click on the reply button below a forum post to respond to this invitation.
You also have the ability to leave a personal message on the talk page of the individual contributor by clicking on the "Talk" link displayed to the right of the contributor's user name.
OK, I guess I'm confused about the assignment. I created a new thread but now would like to remove it. Is that possible? Sylvia
Hi Sylvia -- Well done -- you have worked through the confusion and successfully posted a reply to the response.
The ability to delete a new thread is reserved for Systems administrators -- because there is a risk of inadvertently deleting a series of replies to a thread.
Anway -- you've had the chance to reply to a thread and create a new one -- the power of incidental learning. I'm not going to delete the new thread you created for the time being.
You have really made the interaction, editing, posting, and removals extremely easy to not only understand, but also navigate.

John I'm still learning more about this, but am undecided if it is easier to follow than a more structured thread. Cliff
I think you're doing exeptionaly well -- in the beginning the wiki way needs a little time to get used to --- but once the bug bites, there's no holding back!!!
Appreciate the feedback John, thanks.
That said -- with any new technology different folk have differing tolerance levels for experimenting until they get it right.
It's like learning to ride a bicycle --- initially a tough challenge to get your balance right but then it becomes second nature.
