The OERF will launch officially on SFD 2009. I'll spend my day at Warrington School and join in the festivities with the local community.
One of the things we'll be doing is signing the Cape Town Open Content declaration -- (taking into account some of your reservations of the declaration ;-). However we buy into the values, spirit and intent of the declaration. This combined with our commitment to the free cultural works definition will keep us honest :-)
I've been thinking about a community wide initiative to encourage individuals and institutions to consider signing the Cape Town declaration with a page containing photos, reflections etc.
